A huge project for one of the UK’s biggest Universities
The new academic term was just months away, but Reading University Halls of Residence needed a high-spec conversion and refurbishment. It was all looking dated, with inefficient fixtures and fittings. It was a project that suited us to the ground.
Tired fixtures and fittings were stripped out and replaced with modern, durable and efficient new units. Up to 150 bedrooms were redecorated, with new carpets throughout. Dozens more had fresh furniture and windows fitted, not to mention lighting upgrades. We installed around 30 new kitchens, with improved electrics, lighting and flooring. And scores of shower rooms were refreshed with new tiling and shower wall coverings, vinyl flooring, new plumbing and showers, and enhanced ventilation and lighting. The project was delivered on budget, on time, with minimal disruption to students and faculty.
