We were appointed to this student accommodation project in spring 2020 which included a full M&E strip out and upgrade, refurbishment of the main reception area, a well-equipped gym, private dining area and study spaces.
Internally, this project also involved new flooring and lighting throughout creating spaces with a modern and contemporary feel and an interesting and engaging place for students to live.
With the refurbishment project in full swing when Covid-19 struck, we adopted a range of innovative practices to ensure that work could continue safely and that the project didn’t suffer, despite a reduced workforce on-site. As a result, the student accommodation project was completed in time to welcome students for the beginning of the new academic year, as originally planned.
We are proud of this project and have strived to make everything feel like home, fitting bespoke furniture in the private study spaces and dining room and we hope that Bankside student accommodation is a real reflection of the community spirit; what is going on outside influences what happens inside.
