A massive national hotel chain like Premier Inn never sleeps. It’s a busy turnaround of guests, business events and social gatherings. So imagine the potential upheaval and break in continuity from having a major refurbishment of 1,000 hotel rooms, corridors and lobby areas across their UK network.
For some contractors the challenge would be a logistical nightmare. Especially with the agreed timescale of just two weeks per phase of 20 rooms. Yet for our delivery teams it was an opportunity to shine. Despite the sheer scale and volume of work, and the national geographic footprint, we were able to achieve consistency in the service delivery. All the work completed within budget, on time, with no disruption to guests or cancellation of events.
It was certainly a team effort to be proud of – and just shows the benefit of having experience in delivering refurbishments to busy facilities and leisure establishments.
